Our Principles

Safe Circle Care - 9 Business Principles

Group of Friends

1

Grow the Business Sustainably

Work alongside local authorities to ensure our services meet the local needs agenda.

Ensuring ongoing consolidation of resources and the maintenance of standards in all areas of business

2

Ensure Safety and Safeguarding as a priority

Creating a secure and stable home where young people feel physically and emotionally safe. Safeguarding procedures are robust, embedded in daily practice, and regularly reviewed to meet regulatory standards.

3

Deliver
Personalised
Care

Each young person receives a comprehensive Care Plan and Placement Plan, co-produced with professionals and the child wherever possible. These will reflect their assessed needs, personal goals, and preferences. Our model of care is trauma-informed and attachment-based, placing strong emphasis on emotional regulation, consistency, and secure adult-child relationships.

4

Meet all requirements set by Ofsted for children's homes

By maintaining compliance with all 9 quality standards as outlined by Ofsted. Continuous improvement is central to our practice through audits, Regulation 44 monthly visits to the home, and staff supervision.

5

Promote and supplement education, training, and life skills

Working closely with Virtual School Heads, education providers, and families to ensure that young people attend school or alternative provision, receive academic support, and are prepared for independence. Weekly key work sessions support personal development and future planning.

6

Provide a range
of tailored
enrichment opportunities

Provide access to after school

or weekend activities.

Working with trained outdoor education specialists leading regular outdoor sessions e.g. short & long walks in the country, water based sports activities etc. Aiming to build positive relationships, develop leadership skills, open up and share feelings with their care team.

7

Develop a competent, compassionate staff team

Our staff are safely recruited, trained in Level 3/4/5 Residential Childcare, and receive regular reflective supervision. Professional development includes safeguarding, prevent, de-escalation, first aid, and care practices.

8

Work collaboratively with external professionals

Building strong relationships with local authorities, IROs, CAMHS, police, and community services to ensure wraparound, multi-agency support for each child.

9

Monitor, evaluate, and improve our services

Using feedback from young people, staff, and stakeholders, we maintain a dynamic Quality Improvement Plan.
